Proto Solutions is a US-based company that focuses on low-volume, high-quality prototyping and machining. Our creations are proudly fabricated locally in San Diego, CA. We were founded in 2003 by Leon Fung, a skilled prototype machinist with decades of experience. We have the ability to mill, lathe, and saw a wide variety of metals and plastics to your stringent design specifications. We can also provide consultation on engineering questions as they relate to the manufacturing process for your product.
On May 1, 2018, Leon transitioned ownership of Proto Solutions and Machining to a company (SemperForge, Inc.) owned by his son, Henry Fung, and close family friend and business partner, Huy Ly. Henry and Huy envision to continue and build upon the legacy that Leon started 15 years ago. Leon will continue to supervise the day-to-day operations of the company during a transition period to ensure that existing clients experience a smooth transition in addition to upholding the high standard of quality that is associated with the name Proto Solutions. Leon's legacy and his vision will be an integral part of our core values.
